China Cares procures and delivers supplies for orphanages and NGOs worldwide in the most efficient way possible in order to maximize their effectiveness so that together we may better serve a world full of desperate needs.
In 2009, UNICEF estimated that the number of orphans worldwide was 163 million. Moreover, many of the world’s orphans live in developing countries where their caretakers struggle to simply provide them with daily essentials like clean water, clothing, sports equipment and school books. Even the children who may have some essentials often miss other crucial opportunities in life such as constructive play and activities and the opportunity to attend primary school. Lacking the benefits of these crucial life stages, these children have little hope for a positive future. China Cares can help. We coordinate logistics for NGOs and orphanages worldwide. Through partnerships with factories at home and shipping companies abroad, we can procure more supplies for organizations more efficiently than they could otherwise be purchased locally. We do this by finding factories that want to help the poor and so will sell their goods at heavily discounted prices. Through China Cares, orphanages and NGOs can afford to purchase more of the supplies they need. Additionally, we allow donors to purchase specific “Wishlist†items for our NGO and orphanage partners.
